Holy scripture is a double edged sword; you have to allow it to cut out the cancerous growth of sin and selfishness in your own soul, and allow yourself to be purified by it.
The more holy you become, the more accutely you realise you are sinful, and the more aware you are of your own self-centres sinful inclinations.
Humility is a mark of holiness.
Justifying one's own daily sins is the manifestation of a lack of love for God and an immature relationship with Him.
Let us ask God every day to make us Saints, and let us always strive to remove from our lives those constant daily sins which damage our souls, and ruin our relationship with God.
Otherwise when we die God will say "I do not know you! You had no place for me in your heart and unrepentantly chose sin over my Will."
God Loves us so much, we owe Him all our Love in return.

Yes in Miles Jesu we srtive every day to become Saints..as do all catholics..
Inspiring stuff. I think it's def true that trying to increase in holiness makes us realise how weak and self-centred we are, but that can help us to depend on God more and more. God bless xx
Very good thoughts. Thank you.
