My day with the ambulance crew!

We actually put the flashing lights on for this photo! You can just about see them...
and they let me turn the key in the ignition to turn it on! How cool!

The panel of buttons

We did actually have one emergency call during the shift I was present for (..but when we got there it turned out not to be an emergency), but we still had to drive through town with the lights flashing and sirens blaring!
It was SO COOL!

All the cars were ducking out the way for us; driving into bushes basically to let us zoom by! hehe! It was kinds fun!
(but also kinda scary....going at 90kpm round tiny windy narrow roads...!)

You're getting loads of experience there! Sounds very enriching. :o) And, might I just say that you look absolutely adorable? So pretty! I just want to hug you.

Back when I was an Anglican Vicar, I spent a brief time as a Chaplain to an Ambulance "station" (or whatever it is called). I went out one day with the crew... quite frightening coz you didn't know quite was going to meet you... i was wearing the full Vicar kit (dog collar etc). The next time I went to see them they asked me to refrain from wearing the Clerical collar if I went in the Ambulance again, as one of the patiernts had been somewhat upset to see a "priest" jump out of the Ambulance with the paramedics... he thought the NHS was providing last rites..

Hey guys! Thanks for your comments!

( I did reply a few days ago but my computer crashed and it apparently didnt publish it!)

Thanks for the sweet compliments Lindz! :-) Not sure I look that good...maybe it is a dodgy camera?!

David..hehe! I can see why patients would be worried! To be hoenst, I'd feel pretty comforted to see a priest stepping out of an ambulance with the paramedics! Treatment for body and soul!
Perhaps one day when England returns to the Church, we can consider asking the NHS to offer a quick-response clergy team for accidents!

:-)

God Bless!
