Needless to say I have been practicing them at every spare moment; while cycling to lectures, while in lectures, when in the shower, before going to bed...etc!
We have two bits to say, one for the legally part, and the other for the actual confirmation of the Sacrament (yes! I will be confering a Sacrament on Chris!!)
So here I am practicing again!:
I do solemnly declare that I know not of any lawful impediment why I, Antonia blah blah, may not be joined in holy matrimony to you, Christopher blah blah.
and then:
I call upon these persons here present to witness that I, Antonia blah blah, do take thee, Christopher blah blah, to be my lawful wedded husband.
To have and to hold from this day forwards,
for better, for worse;
for richer, for poorer;
in sickness and in health;
to love and to cherish
till death do us part.
Although I am a teensy bit scared my mind will go blank (must think postive-it wont go blank!) it has actually been really nice memorising them and thinking about what I am saying!
Plus, Chris will go first, so he can refresh my memory in case I forget!
(and if it all goes wrong, the Priest will nudge me in the right direction I'm sure!)
and here is a tiny sneak preview of one detail on my WEDDING DRESS!
(may need to click on it to see it properly!)

Oh that is so pretty! I wish that I could come to the mass and see you all, but my prayers are definetly with you guys. Ciao x
Thanks for sharing with us your wedding vows. I'm sure you won't go blank. I see the lovely embroidery of your gown. God bless you and Chris.
A couple of days left to go! Congrats to you both!
So excited for you!! I'm afraid I'm a bit late starting the novena (great idea, by the way!) but I am definitely remembering you in my prayers now and especially on your wedding day!
By the way, in case you don't remember me, I'm the reader who does more lurking than commenting and who asked about medical problems with contraceptives. I've enjoyed your blog and other so much that I think I just might have a go at it myself...
You'll be sooo fine! my best friend catherine and her now husband decided to do the same and only spent the evenign before the wedding revising them and she did them soo well!!! How exciting!
Remember it's "lawful wedded husband" and not "awful wedded husband"!
May God bless you on your wedding day and throughout your married life.
Funny how you & Chris have the same last name!
Congrats, Mrs B!
