6 DAYS....AND COUNTING...
If you've ever wondered what Brides get up to 6 days before their wedding....
here is a run-down of my day today: Monday 24th July 2006
1. Got wedding present in mail from friend in America
2. Went to morning Mass
3. Invited yet another person to the wedding!
4. Got confirmation that Sposi Novelli tickets will be ready for Papa B's General Audience in Roma! Printed off ticket details
5. Went to bank to take out money to pay deposit for new house
6. Went to rental agency, paid deposit for new house, got house keys
7. Drove to nearby town to pick up beautiful wedding dress which is all ready!!
8. Went to an entire afternoon of lectures on arthritis
9. Fiance + his father + his brother came to pick up a load of wedding stuff to bring home with them (wedding is taking place in their home town)
10. Said good-bye to fiance till Day Before Wedding
11. Transported entire contents of my 'old' room into new house ready for when I move in (after honeymoon)
12. Went to evening rosary and adoration at Church
13. Packed up entire suitcase with stuff for honeymoon
14. Miscellaneous wedding preparation
15. Had shower
phew! Also, I was lucky today because I only had HALF a day of lectures! The rest of the week I have lectures PACKED from 9am - 5pm!!!!
Tomorow (Tuesday) one of my Aunts from Italy will be arriving.
Wednesday my Aunt & mum will be driving up north to the town where the wedding will be
Wednesday evening my dad's brother is coming to stay for the night
Thursday I have a FACIAL booked (I decided to treat myself with this one thing! I have never had one before so I hope my skin doesn't react adversely!!) and I am supposed to be going for a dinner type thing to a Priest friend's house
Friday I am making the 5hour+ journey on the train up north with my dad!
And EVERY DAY I HAVE 9AM - 5PM lectures!
All I have to say is, THANK GOD, I went on that retreat last weekend!
It really helped me put into perspective the importance of TRUST in Him. Not to get panicy or stressed out. Just do what needs to be done and put it all in His hands and He will look after us so lovingly and tenderly! What do we have to worry about!?
I have learnt my lesson by now; relying on myself only makes things crash down and get done badly.
Relying on Christ, through the intercession of His mother and the Saints makes things work out so beautifully, and always so much better than could've been imagined!
So I am clinging pretty tightly onto Our Lord in the Eucharist, Mary and St. Joseph.

you sound so busy, but at the same time everything sounds so wonderful. You will be married soon, you have an aunt flying in from Italy! I remember the excitement of my aunt flying to Australia from Italy, we couldn't sleep the night before.
I cannot wait to see some photos of you and CHris on the beautiful day!
Amen to relying on "Him" for everything, we need to be constantly reminded of that each day.
Love
Carmel
Wow! Just reading that made me tired! Congrats on your wedding. May God bless you both as you start this new chapter in your lives.
This is soooo exciting. I love reading your blog these days! Whooo hoooo...
Just reading this is making me so excited for you! I will keep both you and your fiance especially in my intentions at Mass and in prayer throughout this week as you prepare for this great sacrament!
