I had to refrain from blogging about my Genito-urinary medicine placement because it evoked similar feelings. What is worse is having to practice the newly acquired 'sexual history taking' skills on real patients who come into clinic for a 'check-up'. We're allowed to identify 'high-risk behaviour' (ie stuff that makes you want to vomit) but we're not allowed to advise against it. "just use protection" seems to be the constant speal. Avoid like a barge-pole, but you'll be through it in a few weeks. God bless!
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS BLOG IS NO LONGER ACTIVE; I ONLY POST HERE SPORADICALLY.
I HAVE A NEW BLOG WHICH IS UPDATED DAILY BUT IS PASSWORD PROTECTED. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO READ IT PLEASE LEAVE ME A MESSAGE IN THE COMMENTS BOX OF ANY POST WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND I WILL ADD YOU ONTO THE PERMISSIONS LIST. YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED PUBLICLY.
