Me rafting

I have wasted SO MUCH time this weekend. I blame it on the fact that I'm still feeling ill (sore throat, ice-cold feet, runny nose, bungled-up head & brain not quite functioning).

One of the (many) ways I've wasted time today, has been looking through old pictures and here is just one of me rafting on the Nantahala River (USA) when I went to summer camp in summer 2005).
I'm sitting in front of the dude at the back with the white hat on who looks like he's going to fall out.

Speaking of falling out....I actually did!!

Well, sorta! What happened was out raft got wedge onto a rock and was starting to tip over on itself. So myself and another guy climbed out of the raft onto the rock to push it off. We successfully managed to push the raft off the rock....but then, by the power of the water, the raft zoooomed away.....leaving myself & the guy stranded on the rock.....in the middle of the rapids.

It was so horrible. We had to jump into the water and swim backwards towards the nearest shore.

Look at that water....it was not fun.

It was SO SO icy and cold my body was in shocking pain and I felt I could barely breath.

But, by the grace of God, we made it alive and got pulled back into the raft.

Not sure I would ever go rafting again! Well, maybe on a less aggressive river!

That looks like fun, but freezing cold!

I hope that you will be feeling better soon. Sounds if you need a hot toddy.
God bless.

I refer to that day as "The Day We Almost Left the Brit & Brian-Daddy in North Carolina". It's a much better title. ;)
