What a joyous day today is!
the feast of EVERYONE in Heaven! wow! Such a wonderful day!
Chris & I have decided to start celebrating feast days of the Church in a more overt way.
I know that going to Mass is the greatest celebration possible on the face of the Earth, and in all of time, past present and future....but you know what I mean! Like having a special dinner on Christmas Day, we just want to get into the habit of being obvious that it's a great feast for the Church and echoing that in our own little domestic Church at home.
Like for example in October, the month of the Rosary, we made sure to say the Litany to our Lady after our daily rosary. And now in November we will start saying special prayers for the Souls in Purgatory, as it's the month where we specially remember all souls.
It's so that, when we have kids, (hopefully not toooo many years away!), and when we are stressed and tired (even more so than now no doubt!) we will already have got into good habits, and will celebrate special Saint's feast day and Church feast days at home, so that they understand how intimately linked we are to the Church. The Church is not a building....it's LIVING; WE are the Church!!
So anyway, we will have a special dinner tonight AND we even bought cake to celebrate for All SAINT'S!!

But it is a special joyuful day!
