In an English Country Garden...

Unlike the wind, rain and snow that has characterised every day of this last week, today was a glorious sunny day here in good ol' blightly!

Not having seen each other this last week (due to me being stranded in the hospital an hour from home changing babies' nappies and other such paediatric-y stuff), Chris & I decided to do go for a (oh-so-middle-aged) stroll around a local beauty-spot after a (very beautiful) Sunday Mass.

(Oh boy was Mass great today! Having been stuck at this hospital all week, I haven't had my daily dose of Jesus in Mass/Adoration, as I normally do back at home...so I hadn't been to Mass since last Sunday...waaaa! I missed Jesus so much!! I really felt it when I went to Church today; my heart was so full of love and I was all like "My sweet darling Jesus! I haven't seen you all week!! I LOVE YOU & I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!" Communion was wonderful!)

anyway,

I sometimes think it would be so much fun to live abroad somewhere...I did spend the first 16 years of my life in Saudi Arabia, so I am used to life as an international ex-pat.
But to be honest; I love English scenery waaay too much to leave!

I love the quaint Jane Austen tea-and-crumpets, daffodils-and-meadows, old Abbeys and castles and little baby lambs, Englishness!

and Chris is just the same!

Here are some photos of our big day out!

An English phone box!
A kitty warming himself in sun!

I know our heads are slightly cut off, but I had to post this one! It is way too cute with the kitty-kat who just strolled into the photo!

(minus the kitty!)

800 year old ruins!

England is pretty!
