THE PILL CAUSES CANCER

Hot off the press:

The journal of the Mayo Clinic has published a key article in its October 2006 issue entitled “Oral Contraceptive Use as a Risk Factor for Pre-menopausal Breast Cancer: A Meta-analysis”.

Basically, their major findings were that oral contraceptives ARE, beyond any doubt, linked with a measurable and statistically significant increase in pre-menopausal breast cancer.

Basically means that the contraceptive pill can make you have breast cancer before about age 50yrs.

The study showed that this especially true if a woman was on the pill before her first pregnancy.

The oral contraceptive pill has already been classified as a Type 1 carcinogen by the International Agency for Cancer Research, and this research majorly supports that.

That means it the pill is classfied as being one of the most serious cancer-causing drugs around, bet that's not something GPs tell the 15 year old girls who will be on the pill for about 20 years.

You know, if this were ANY other drug, it wouldn't be allowed to be used in women with such horrendous frequency, especially not in young girls aged 13...but because it means free sex for all...then the fact that is causes cancer is just conveniently over-looked...

The study concluded:
Use of OCs is associated with an increased risk of premenopausal breast cancer, especially with use before first full-term pregnancy in parous women.

Well, this is no surprise for me : my father is a doctor (cardiologist) and has done some research on that subject some years ago.
As you say, if it were any other drug, it wouldn't be so easily allowed...but the medical world seems to behave in a bit schizophrenic way : a gynecologist/GP can prescribes the pill to any woman that wants it, and 'family planning' organisations speak of it as a 'freedom tool' for women but then doctors in other fields(cardiologists, at least!) describe it as one of those things that are most harmful (along with smoking and drinking)...
How is such an inconsistency tolerable ?!

I always heard about the pill increasing the risks of cancer and was shocked that a doctor tried to get me on it and said that he suggests it to girls as soon as they begin to menstrate.

That was my last visit to that GP
