also known as Bipolar Affective Disorder (BAD).I am supposed to be doing a short presentation on bipolar disorder this Friday, and I have been assigned to talk about the drug treatments.
But NOT stuff like "Lithium is used, and these are the side-effects...Zzzzz", I am supposed to talk about issues like compliance, and how some people with bipolar disorder really quite enjoy being manic and so avoid taking their drugs, and some of the stigma around taking the drugs, and worries, over-doses etc etc...
so as BAD is actually kinda common (apparently 1% life-time risk), I was wondering whether anyone reading this has ever had any experience with it (e.g. personal or family members) and whether you could pass on a few words of experience or advice or any internet sites....
