Words from the Little Flower

To a sister who had told her that she preferred to be corrected when she was wrong rather than when she was blameless, Therese replied: "I prefer to be accused unjustly, for then I have nothing to reproach myself with, and joyfully offer this to the good Lord. Then I humble myself at the thought that I am indeed capable of doing the thing of which I have been accused."

And another time she says: "Why should we defend ourselves when we are misunderstood and misjudged? Let us leave that aside. Let us not say anything. It is so sweet to let others judge us in any way they like. O blessed silence, which gives so much peace to the soul!"

This is a virtue I am sorely lacking in

sweet Therese, pray for us, that we may have a heart that burned with love for Christ as yours did

I'm a bit lacking in that area too, it's interesting how looking at it in St.Therese's perspective opens our eyes. Thanks

A virtue that I too am lacking. Those quotes were beautiful, Antonia.
