Catholic Monks

This video is 15 minutes long and I really enjoyed it.

A non-Catholic spends 24hrs with some 'Transalpine Redemptorists' monks (/hermits) who are living on a remote isolated island off the coast of Scotland.
They only celebrate the Tridentine Mass and all prayers are in Latin & they lead a very disciplined rigorous life (they get up at 3:15am for Mass at 3:45am, and then spend 3 hours in prayer before breakfast!) The rest of the day is spent doing pretty hard manual labour, and praying the Divine Office.

If you enjoyed the recent tv shows of 'The Monastary' or that one where the girls spend 6 weeks with the nuns (I've forgotten the name), then you will enjoy this! It is similar, but just a mini version of it (as I said, it lasts about 15mins)

Oh and the staunch athiest who goes to spend the day with them is so deeply moved that by the end he is crying, and you can tell he has had a real encounter with Christ's love.
