Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday! We went to my parent's house and had a great time!
The tree was overflowing with presents (for once my brother & I had bought my parents more than one present each, so there were loads under the tree for everyone!):
Our stockings were full of yummy treats (here is my stocking; it was a present to me from a family freind when I was 2 years old)
My present to Chris was a pannier bag for his bike (oh ain't I romantic?!!)
It looked like this:

and it fixes onto the back of his bike.
I got it because the poor boy always gets semi-crippled trying to carry our weekly shopping back from the supermarket on his back. This should help spare his spine!
Here is Chris opening a present
Chris got me the skirt featured in these photos as well as a nice scarf-and-gloves set.
My parents got me and Chris a gorgeous HUGE lead-crystal photo-frame with a big picture of Chris & I from the wedding. I also got some clothes and other little things.
Our Priest friend gave me a gorgeous wood icon of Our Lady of Guadalupe!!
and then we of course had a huge scrumptious Christmas FEAST!
We had our priest friend over as well which was nice.
Here is me with the sausages-wrapped-in-bacon which I made:
But the most super duper part of the day...WE GOT POPE BENEDICT'S BLESSING!!
My parents get Vatican tv and so we watched the Pope's Christmas address to the world live, and then got his papal blessing!! (woohoo! Plenary Indulgence!!)
I took a video of him giving his blessing from the tv with my digital camera and was going to upload it to my blog, but it's a bit big so I might do it later.
We have now just got back from St. Stephen's Day Mass at Church and are going to do some tidying and sorting, and then may head over to my parent's house again!
I hope you all had a lovely wonderful blessed Christmas!

I hope one day im blessed with someone who knows me so well!!! btw love pigs in blankets- the best bit about my mums dinnerr!!! plus the parsnips and her leeks!!! mmmmmmm!!! hope you had a fab Christmas x
Thanks for sharing about your Christmas. It sounds like you had a lovely time there. This Christmas was great too, we spent it at my mums house with close friends and family. Nice sausages too, the food certainly catches everyone's eye on such a beautiful feast. Is that a baptism reminder pendant that you are wearing on your necklace? I wondered because all my family have them and they look simmilar to that. ANyway have a wonderful 2007!!
For the plenary (full) indulgence you will need to have had confession, communion, and prayed for the pope, as well as observed the indulgenced act itself. And the other clause is to be completely unattached to venial sin. Very hard!! Otherwise the indulgence is only partial. The dispensations for indulgences are very hard. Glad to hear you had a happy christmas, and that you enjoy all the customary trimmings as much as me!
Thanks for your comments everyone.
Autumnrose - thanks for the Christmas wishes!!
I'm glad to hear you have the exact same cardigan because it is very pretty!! ( it was a present from my parents!)
Histor - hah! :-)
Zoe - 'pigs in blankets' I've never heard that expression before!
Carmel - The necklace I have on has the miraculous medal, a cross and a St. Anthony medal.
Matt - thanks for the info. I myself am well aware of the Church's requirments in order to obtain a plenary indulgence.
But thanks for posting them anyway as perhaps some of my readers didn't know.
