Wading in wedding stuff

I'm finally back after a wonderful week-long trip visiting Chris's family. It was nice to see his parents & siblings again (he has a brother& 2 younger sisters). As our wedding is taking place in his Parish Church in his hometown, this last week was also an opportunity to sort out wedding stuff. I probably wont be going back up there again till the week before the wedding so we were waist high in wedding plans, but managed to get loads done!

We sorted out the cake: It looks something like this:

but will have the pink ribbon round the base, and pink and shiny ribbons in between the flowers. Plus the cake has sparkles on it and looks super cute (in my humble opinion!)

We also sorted out the route that the wedding car will be taking the morning of the wedding. I must compliment Chris for having chosen such a lovely car; 1964 Rolls Royce. It is so fancy inside!

I also went to the hairdressers with Chris's mum; armed with my wedding veil we tried to work out some different hairstyles that I could have on the day.

We also went to speak to the photographer who (Thank You St. Joseph!) said that the photos will be a present from him and his wife to us!

We also went to see the wedding reception venue again; they have had it redecorated and it looks so fresh and clean. We also sorted out menus and things like that.

(nb; tableclothes will not be yellow!)

Also, we did a lot of investigating in the Church, experimenting where we want the bride & groom chairs to go, and where the flowers go (one of my Aunts in Italy is doing the flowers, so she wanted us to take lots of pictures of the Church to help her think through where the flowers should go etc etc)

looking at the altar, and St. Joseph & Mary in the side Chapels

looking down the Church from behing the Tabernacle

We also did lots of other stuff like sorting out flower wholesalers, accommodation etc etc but I will spare you all the details!

To top it off, it was Chris's grandmother's 86th birthday! Here he is with his granddad and grandmother, the brithday girl!!

On the way back home I spent a night at the house of my other bridesmaids (my brother's fiance) and had a lovely time with her! Here I am with one of her dogs, Dylan!

So all in all, a busy post-Easter week!

God Bless,
