"...This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." Luke 22:19

"Since Christ Himself has said, 'This is My Body' who shall dare to doubt that It is His Body?" -St. Cyril of Jerusalem

The Sacrament of the Eucharist is the “source and summit” of Catholic, Christian life. Jesus Christ “is present in the sacrifice of the Mass both in the person of his minister, ‘the same now offering through the ministry of priests, who formerly offered himself on the cross,’ and most of all in the [consecrated bread and wine]. . . . He is present in his word since it is he himself who speaks when the holy scriptures are read in church. Lastly, he is present when the church prays and sings, for he has promised ‘where two or three are gathered together in my name there am I in the midst of them’” (Par. 7 Decree on the Sacred Liturgy, Vatican Council II).

I love that quotation by St. Cyril of Jerusalem. That is one of my favorite quotations even.
