..is today.
As it is also the 40th anniversary of the closure of the Second Vatican Council, the faithful are granted a plenary indulgence if they partake in...
- Sacramental Confession
- Eucharistic Communion
- Prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff
in spirit that is completely detached from affection for any sin
as well as if
- they participate in a sacred rite in honour of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, or at least offer an open witness of Marian devotion before an image of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, displayed for public veneration, adding the recitation of the Our Father and the Creed and exclamatory invocations to Mary Immaculate (such as "You are All Fair, Mary, and in you there is no stain of original sin!", or "O Queen, conceived without original sin, pray for us!")
from the Vatican
~~
In other news; I am STILL ill.
I took Monday off work, as well as Tuesday morning, I dragged myself in for teaching on Wednesday, and today I have decided to take the morning off to 'work'.
I have to go in later for some silly communication skills class on 'Difference'.
Apparently we will be shown pictures of 'difference' and have to say how they make us feel (stuff like, a black man in a suit, or someone in a wheel-chair with a lab-coat on, or two homosexuals kissing).
siiigh. Good tax-payers money gets spent on things like that.
