I just went to see it with some friends. It was pretty good; I have never read the books (although I may do now) but I had seen the BBC version when I was younger.
The only slightly odd part was Aslan's American accent....:)
ps- my 'fact of the day': C.S. Lewis' name is Clive Staples Lewis.
pps- (may interest Thursday...) apparently, "best-selling children’s author Philip Pullman, has described the Narnia series as “one of the most ugly and poisonous things I’ve ever read.” "

Antonia! I want to see that too, i'm dying to see it actually, I love that fantasy stuff and also watched it on BBC, I was addicted then. It's not out in AUstralia yet I do not believe, but then again, i'm not sure since I havent kept up to date with movie listings, glad you liked it :)
J.R.R. Tolkien = John Ronald Reuel Tolkien
G.K. Chesterton = Gilbert Keith Chesterton
P.G. Wodehouse = Pelham Grenville Wodehouse
These English and their rather odd names that they clip into initials...
Yes, I read what Pulman has said. He says that every couple of months, to ensure his books continue to sell. You really should read Narnia, followed by the Space trilogy, followed by The Great Divorce. This is the order that let's you work up to the deeper themes he puts in those works. And, after you're done with Lewis, get Pulman's books from the library (no royalties *evil laugh*) they really are the foil to Lewis's works.
Yours in Christ,
Thursday
