the USA
This Sunday (3rd July) at 2:45am GMT, I will be waving good-bye to my family & Chris as I leave for the 16hour trip which will take me the furthest away from home that I have ever been alone....to the USA!
I'll be spending the next 5 weeks (till August 4th) working at a Catholic summer camp in America! eeeeeek!
I'm really excited & kinda scared!
Excited cos I've always wanted to work at an American summer camp, and realistically this is the only summer I have left ever to be able to do it. Also, I found out about this camp on St. Joseph's day (March 19th) and I had been praying for months for his intercession in finding...well, a Catholic summer camp in America!! Also, I'm sure it'll be really really fun, and an amazing, un-repeatable experience for personal growth and spiritual development! PLUS, it's CATHOLIC! Yey! Daily mass, praying and everything will be Christ-centred! woohoo!
Originally this summer I had been invited to spend 5-6 weeks in China with one of my University friends, but it broke my heart that I wouldn't have been able to go to mass at all while out there, so I am SO happy that I have been blessed with the opportunity to spend my summer being entirely immersed in the Church!
I'm kinda scared though because, this will be my first time away from home totally alone. I'm not 100% sure what to expect, and I'll miss Chris & my family...
but I guess it is only for a month, & it'll probably be over before I know it and i'll be all upset at having to leave!!
Plus, I get to spend 4th July in America!! woohoo! That's a rare treat!
anyway, on Saturday 2nd July I have my graduation, but I don't know if I will post some pictures then so if not......FARE-THEE-WELL my dears!
You shall hear from me in early August!
