On Wednesday I came back home from the hospital because there was a wedding dress sale on in one of the hotels in my home town. It's run by some private company of seamstresses who make wedding dresses and then travel round the country displaying their dresses in hotels.
My mum's friend had bought a lovely dress from them for her daughter a few years ago and so my mum really really wanted me to come and have a look.....
AND I GOT MY WEDDING DRESS!!!
Yey! I had been praying to St. Joseph for his intercession for all the itsy details of my wedding so that it wouldn't all get too stressful for everyone involved, and everything would go smoothly....and this certainly went wonderfully!
My dress is perfect! Everything I wanted! It's a typical girl's dream princess dress!
I cant say too much in case Chris reads this and I dont want to give away the surprise! Plus if you keep reading till July...I will definitly post pictures!
I had been reading some online sites about wedding dresses and they all say corny stuff like "You'll know when you've found the one for you", "it will be love at first sight.." etc etc and I thought nothing of it.
That evening I had tried on about 3 or 4 dresses and on gazing at myself in the mirrorI was like '...well it's really pretty. It has a lovely train/fit/embroidery etc....let's just see what the next one looks like'.
and then when I tried on my dress it WAS love at first sight; 'WHOOOA! That is SO pretty! I love it! It looks amazing!' My face hurt so much from smiling! It looked like....well...like what I had always dreamed it would look like!! and it wasn't mega expensive either!
My mum loved it too
Hehe! I know the focus of the day isn't meant to be the aesthetics....but you know...the dress is pretty important in making the bride beautiful ( at least externally) for that special occasion.
I'm really grateful it was so smooth and that it's one less thing to worry about! (still got invitations, shoes, cake, car, catering, guest accomodation, honeymoon, flowers etc etc etc on the list!)

It's always good to learn of another devout Brit Catholic blogger.
Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding.
God Bless.
Congrads,
I'm sure the dress looks wonderful.
Yours in Christ,

Three continents in one comment box, I'm impressed!
That's gr8! I know that dress means a lot to you... i've heard the story of another Indian Catholic friend who shared how she wanted to wear one of the best dresses for her wedding and had no means at all to dream of something of the like. And then out of the blue she relates, her dress came from UK, her lace from another country and I don't know the remainder of the list. But the summary... the Lord knows your deepest wish and takes care of your smallest needs.
Good to find another Catholic blogger. Keep blogging for Christ!
