okay, so perhaps choosing to start a blog right at the beginning of my revision period for my exams maybe wasn't the greatest idea ever. Apart from having nothing THAT thrilling to report in my daily life, I also don't really have all that much free time to up-date my site!
My first exam is in 6 days (...once I finish this I will start revising for it!). It's an interesting exam as it involves critically evaluating a video of a real doctor-patient consultation. That is, to what extent has the doctor employed various consultation skills and communication skills in order to make the 6min-or-so consultation with the patient as effective as possible.
The exam lasts 3.5hours and I did a practice one yesterday and my hand STILL hurts! ow!
hm...okay...that isn't exactly a very interesting conversation piece!
The weather yesterday here was gorgeous! So sunny and warm, with clear blue skies! Obviously, as yesterday was too good, today the weather has gone back to the standard English grey skies, gentle wind and threatening to rain at any moment. *siiighs* I grew up in Saudi Arabia till I was almost 17, so needless to say...I LIKE SUNSHINE! I went out and bought a skirt yesterday as I decided all the ones I have are too short (knee-length) and now that I am a bit older I feel uncomfortable wearing them. Especially going to daily mass, I just don't think it's at all appropriate (...dont get me started on a rant about how awful I think some people come dressed to mass! We shouldnt be able to see knees or shoulders people! It's MASS, not a disco! but that's a whole other rant for a whole other day!)
So anyway, I got a denim skirt which comes about mid-leg it really pretty! All I need now is a pair of nice summery shoooes to go with it...
hm, other than that not much to report! I have been asked to go and help serve drinks/food at this good-bye lunch for a young priest tomorrow. That should be fun....!
well, guess I better go brush up on my doctor-patient communication skills...
ciao
