Says it all...

Someone just emailed me this & I think it was so funny (unfortunatly however it is true):

Carl Djerassi, emeritus professor of chemistry at Stanford University, was awarded both the National Medal of Science for the first synthesis of a steroid oral contraceptive--"the Pill", and was also awarded the National Medal of Technology for promoting new approaches to insect control.

...so the guy who invented the pill, is also an expert in insect population control...?!

Hmm.....wonder if he was applying some of his ideas about controlling insect populations when he was thinking about the "benefits" of the pill in controlling human populations...?!

it would not in any way surprise me if he was.
